The Union

We welcome you to The Union. We are The People of The Union, who have descended from your people over many hundreds of years. Thanks to our great advancements in science, we now possess the means to the perfect life, where We can be fully efficient and contribute to the good of The People. All sustenance, activity, work, and education is for the improvement of all, and all are kept within the completely controlled environment of the Spheres, so that all can gain Knowledge and work for the good of The People in a completely safe environment. We h......   Hack Complete....   To anyone who reads this, this world has become the world of The Union, and I hope judging by what you read before that you realize that's not a good thing. The Union, ruled by The Council and their Safety Officers, have completely changed humanity into their ignorant slaves through information control and brainwashing. The rest of the world was turned into a wasteland hundreds of years ago from war, and now only the Spheres provide any form of protection for the people they contain. Technology has certainly improved, but this has only allowed The Council to gain further control of The People, as they call themselves, either through beguilement or force. Those who gain an understanding of their own situation are taken to Special Education Centers where they either submit to the torture and brainwashing to once again become one of The People or they die to torture or the cruel experiments of The Knowledgeable. The Risen, the organization that I am a part of, sometimes manage to help people escape from the SECs, but successes are few and far between. The Risen hope to one day free humanity from the grip of The Council, but for now we work in secret, helping where we can, gathering resources and information so that we can grow stronger.   Along with this message I am sending all necessary information that we have gathered or documented in order to help you understand the world you have now stepped into. Please be cautious, and avoid all Safety Officers or Security Droids you see. If you must go into the open, try to mingle with the crowd so that they don't notice you.
