Lucy's
Summary
Among the many hospitals and apothecaries on Orbital City Morrow, Lucy's is unique in that it is never in the same place for long. This is necessary of course, as Lucy's is known both as a place of wellness, and one of heresy. Catering those who work against The Theocracy, spreading dissent and heresy like a plague. Yet somehow Lucy's always knows when the Form-Shifters are about to knock down her doors and moves locations just in time.Purpose
It is not currently known where or from whom Lucy's doctors received their training, only that they are extremely competent in their work. Lucy's is more than an unsanctioned medical facility though. It is an ever-changing headquarters for rebellion. Those outside of Orbital City Morrow do not know about Lucy's, and this is strictly enforced. For over the last decade, Orbital City Morrow has been slowly shifting against The Theocracy. Housing political dissidents and converting its loyal populace to heretical agents. However, to the people of Morrow, Lucy's is known as a hidden house of healing. Where any who find themselves there are cured of all but the most insidious of illness, and emerge with limbs replaced with highly advanced prosthetics. Lucy's unlicensed doctors do not charge those who come to them. And in fact, they make a point of refusing service to those who insist on paying them. Treating feared illnesses such as Red Sweats, Mind Rot, and Grey Blood. As well as injuries such as port damage and lost limbs and organs. Some claim there is nothing that Lucy's can not cure or replace. and many who have been there would quietly agree. It is garnered them much love to the lower stations, and the great ire of the Union Church.Governmental Action
The Theocracy's hidden enforcers, the Form-Shapers, have only ever managed to infiltrate Lucy's once. Fairly early on in reports of its location and ideals, Form-Shapers were sent to intercept and destroy all heresy they found. They did not manage this for well over a month, and four location changes. On the eve of the twenty-first of Phos, two injured Form-Shapers entered Lucy's — A second-floor apartment room on 8-11-31st street, Third District — and profiled three of its doctors and numerous heretics. Unfortunately, one Ethan 'Cyclops' Cello identified the two agents upon surgery and alerted the others. The strapped down Form-Shaper was immediately shot through the head, while the second fled, sustaining numerous wounds, and reported his findings. Since then, no other locations for Lucy's have been located on time. Although it is noted that numerous low ranking agents have identified and silenced a fair number of its patients. And have compiled an ever-growing list of known and suspected heretics.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
