The Fall of Raxxis

Dwarves believe that the Titanborn Durok engaged in a great battle with the tyrannical titan Raxxis. After many years of relentless battle, Durok forged his mighty axe, Ashrune, and used it to cleave the evil titan in twine.
Raxxis' giant corpse stretched across the land. Out of the remains of his fallen foe Durok carved the Twin Kingdoms of Kalazanbaar, and appointed the first of the Two Kings to rule. The great chasm left by Durok's killing blow as Raxxis body was split in two was named Ashrune Pass, after Durok's axe, but is now known by humans simply as The Maw.
With his kingdoms established, Durok ascended to Mount Celestia to live as a god, and is worshiped by Dwarves as a Lesser Deity to this day.
