Scrapbook's Casually Ramified Alliance Protection Department

The S.C.R.A.P.D. is an organization of well-trusted, well-trained, and community-picked Scraps. They simply wish to protect everyone in Scrapbook, and respond seriously and directly to every call they receive.

A department of S.C.R.A.P.D. exists on all of the planets, with the exception of Vinhur, which has its own independent law-enforcement force.

To protect the Scrapbook from devious Scraps and Outworlders. They also assist in everyday activities that help communities thrive.

Assets

The S.C.R.A.P.D's arsenal is based largely on the planet the department is on. Individual defenders may bring personal equipment, especially if they have specific needs, but any weapons or tools intended to do their jobs must be reviewed before usage.

History

The S.C.R.A.P.D. was started in 50 First Eclipse Era after a particularly nasty Outworlder and Scrap team destroyed a chunk of Frenzo Zehvah by lighting it on fire. While such a feat is unlikely to ever happen again, the S.C.R.A.P.D. also protects Scraps from Rift anomalies, if such are aggressive, and are first-responders to Rift openings, alongside the Rift-Stitcher.
S.C.R.A.P.D. was originally a reprimand organization, but after public criticism, it started to develop into a communal-run organization. The defenders are now community volunteers instead of government-appointed officials.
