Airship Buoyancy Manipulator
It would be impossible to fly our ships as quickly and efficiently as we do without Cornelius Ramar's studies. His meld of science and magic to manipulate the very fold of what keeps the skylands aloft was absolutely genius.
Imperial airships fly through the skies by using magitek machinery which manipulates the field of magical buoyancy surrounding the skylands, allowing the skyships to float. The Manipulator can, in essence, recycle the energy it manipulates to self-charge. Smaller Manipulators used for lifeboats are capable of perpetual self-charging, requiring no magical infusion to stay afloat. However the bigger Manipulators used for anything larger than a Winged-Dingy are not capable of recycling enough energy to keep itself running, requiring magical infusion to recharge the machine.
Buoyancy Manipulators were invented long ago though the technology has been improved many times. Today, some airships can even hold enough charge to float for months without needing a "recharge."
Buoyancy Manipulators need to be "recharged" every so often. A skilled wizard is often required, and the process can often take up to 12 hours.
