The Cataclysm

No one in Haven's Alliance knows what happened in The Cataclysm. Those who awoke (and some are still Awakening) remember a world that was round, sky that was blue, and gods that existed. When they woke up, the world was broken, and floating in bits around the sun. You could see them because the blue sky was gone, replaced with eternal night, dotted with starts and bits of the world, or the singular brightness that is the sun.
Some say the gods broke the world as they fought and died. Some say they broke it as they left. Some say the good gods lost, and the evil gods broke the world and abandoned everyone. No one is really sure on what happened while they slept in Petricalifax's bubble of slow time. No one is really sure how long they slept, or if they are alone.
All they know is something happened, and the world has been shattered.
