Wurzeldorf Messenger Service
The Wurzeldorf messenger service is run by two young girls, Engel Geisler and Wilhelmine Vend. Despite their young age, they are quite diligent and business savvy.
Wilhelmine's home is used partially as a base of operations, as Engel's home would be very impractical. It's just a tiny apartment that she's renting, but it works fine for the two of them. They have set up strategic pick up points around town, making it very easy for people to use their service - a system come up with by Wilhelmine, whom is very smart and creative for her age.
The system is simple, but very functional: A locked box with a thin slit in the top, so a customer can either drop a note for the messengers to pick something up at a specified place, usually someone's home - or a letter with an address, which will be delivered only if the customer's also dropped in coins to pay for the delivery. If they're picking up something from somewhere else, the payment is usually made there instead. This system has proven highly effective, and the amount of work for the messenger service has tripled since its implementation.
Prices
Sending a letter or a small, light parcel that is easy to carry is 2 cp. Anything above will cost more dependant on the size and weight. Additional costs if they need to hire animals for the lifting, or the delivery is outside of Wurzeldorf, for example a nearby village or farm.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
