Special Properties

The circle is protected by a magical aura that prohibits the casting arcane spells. During the week long spring rites, the sun, standing stones, and trees all align. At this time, worshipers reaffirm their devotion to the Three Dragons, and the Druids begin their rites. Then the circle is said to fall into the middle of night, which it is held in for the following week. The stars are said to descend to the earth, and the druids for 5 day impart magic into the circle. During this time the circle is inaccessible to those who did not attend the beginning of the ritual.

Architecture

The Great Circle of Geldarc is a 1000 foot circle of stones, each 5 feet wide and 15 feet tall. The circle lays on a high hill, surrounded by ancient pine forests. In the middle of the circle is a mound of dirt that seen from the air appears to be a dragon. Gardens of wildflowers line the walkways up the hill, and two giant trees sit on its edges, one on the western side and one on the eastern side. Both Trees are said to glow in the night, and to exclude a divine energy. The Eastern tree is considered to represent Bahumut, while the western tree is said to represent Tiamat. The hill the circle is built upon represents Giaos. The base of the hill is surrounded by a quarter mile of lush meadows, and bogland that have small huts and tents. It is in these medows and bogs that the head clergy of the Temple of Three Dragons meditate on the will of the Dragons. It is also where the Firebreather faction of the Circle of Druids meets to scheme.
