Enneus System

Enneus is the home world of the Five of Nine, five separate species who each evolved separately on the planet. It is actually a small-sized gas giant with an immense liquid ocean under its clouds.

Geography

Underneath the thick layer of Enneus' methane-cloud atmosphere is a bubble of clear atmosphere above a violent sea. A large percentage of the solid surface is vast plains tens of thousands of meters below the ocean surface. There are a handful of mountain ranges scarring the landscape, some of the peaks of which lightly break the surface.

The various mountain regions on the planet are teaming with sea life. The upper portions of many of the tallest mountains are blanketed in dense coral reefs. Beneath the reefs closer to the center are forests of kelp and other plantlife. As the

The cloud layer is a source of functionally infinite energy. In addition to the fierce winds, fusion takes place in the lower layers of the clouds, providing light and energy to the planet in the absence of solar energy.
