Eard the Tall – God of Forests

Lord of the Forests

One of the most enigmatic and reclusive gods, Eard the Tall cares little for the affairs of mortals. His domain are the quiet ones - the trees and deeprooted plants of the world. Where a seed sprouts to sappling and then sappling to hard wood, Eard is there. Where a deer moves through the deep forest and guides her fawns, Eard is there.   Legends tell of when Eard walked among the mortals, but did not speak to them. Instead, he did as he would do, and taught in that silent fashion. His lessons took root in The Empire of Ser'Alun and many say that it was the Garden of the Tanglebrier where he made his home.   Since the fall of Ser'Alun, none have felt his presence on the Material Plain. While many claim to speak for him, or have spoken to him, most have been denounced as charlatans.

Clergy

While he has no set religion, every forest is his temple, every druid is his priest. Rangers, woodworkers and outdoorsmen of all stripes identify with Eard

Divine Symbols & Sigils

There are no organizations that claim to act for Eard, but those who honor him tend to greens and browns

Tenets of Faith

*Balance - If you reap, sow. If you cut, plant. If you take, give. In kind shall the forest provide for the needs of mortals. *Respect - Never take more than is needed. Never take for granted what is given. *Harmony - Walk softly in the forest, for it is the garden of the gods. Bring no conflict to this place.
