Fellscarred

An ethnicity not strictly exclusive to Old Sarkoris, but most prevalent in the region of the former Worldwould, is an ethnicity associated with those that are born into the captivity of demons. A tragic group of people made of many ancestries, these survivors are united by their suffering at the hands of their demon masters and the physical and mental scars they carry. 
Fellscarred are identifiable by their severe scars, some even missing digits or limbs, and many bearing brands or scarrification patterns from the specific demons which held them captive. However, despite the injuries they've borne under the cruel treatment of the demons they were raised among, those that survive in those harsh conditions are incredibly tough at their core, tried and tested in the most brutal of conditions. Many are extremely proficient hunters and trackers, running down prey to supplement their diet out of necessity as much as anything else.
With the closure of the Worldwound, a number of groups of Fellscared were rescued as the Crusaders advanced in the wake of The Heroes of the Crusade many demons choosing to flee through the collapsing Worldwound instead of taking the time to slaughter their captives. Many chose to join the Crusaders in helping cleanse the remaining demonic forces left behind in the World, and familiar with the conditions on the Great Sarkoris Plateau. 
Having no real concept of civilization, and most being illiterate and only fluent in Abyssal, their integration into society has not been easy, and many chose to remain in small bands in Old Sarkoris or remain with their perceived saviors the Crusaders that still occupy Dyinglight. Many continue to act as hunters and scouts, providing an unmatched knowledge of Old Sarkoris to those lucky enough to earn the trust of a Fellscarred.
