Food Golems

Dimension XIX is currently in the 1960s, with a war going on between the Gummy Worms and Rice Crispies. Funny, considering they're all the same species.     Food Golems come in all shapes, sizes, and flavours. How they work, no one knows. Believe me, people have tried to find out.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Usually Food Golems have a humanoid shape, which can vary in size from six feet to less than a foot. A Food Golem can be made of confectionaries, fruit, or just plain sugar.     All Food Golems regardless of composition are born with the word "LOGAH" ("Divine Speech") engraved on their foreheads in Aetheric script. When they die the word turns to "TELOKH" ("Death").

Biological Traits

Some Golems (like chocolate ones) have fire as a weakness, and others despise water.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Forest of their planet produces a new Golem when it feels like it. This Golem could be candy, fruit, or a combination of the two.

Growth Rate & Stages

Food Golems live as long as their body materials. Food Golems made of fruit, for example, will live longer than candy Golems.

Ecology and Habitats

Mostly near the Forest where they originate from, some occupy the abandoned cities that once belonged to the giants of the world.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Food Golems need no food.

Biological Cycle

During times of great heat or great cold Golems will hide in the Forest, where the shade and stable temperature keep them from expiring too quickly.

Behaviour

Typically friendly, with some occasional infighting. They hate Monocerotes because of their love for sweet things.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Small communities organized according to what "tribe" a Golem falls into (e.g. Chocolate, Marshmallow, Licorice, etc.)

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Food Golems make use of a crude form of sign language, having no vocal cords. They also use writing based on the language of the giants, a form of English.     A sample sentence:     "Awl hyooman beengz aa bawn free and eekwal in digniti and raits. Dhei aa endaud with reezan and konshans and shud akt tawardz wan anadha in a spirit ov bradhahud."

Common Etiquette Rules

If you're visiting, don't eat anything. Even something non-living.

Common Dress Code

Some Golems wear leaves to protect themselves from sunlight.

History

Planet Earth of Dimension XIX was once home to a race of giant humans, whose world was notable for one strange Forest made entirely of fruit trees and candies.       One day a giantess was having a picnic with carrots, peeled oranges and cranberries in this Forest. When she finished and departed, some forest spiders fed on the remains and sewed the rest of the leftovers together with their webs, forming a person. This person, the first Food Golem, came alive. And since then the Forest has been producing new Golems at random.     The giants are long extinct, so the Food Golems are the only inhabitants of their planet.

Historical Figures

Spaida, the first Food Golem.

Common Myths and Legends

The giantess who had her picnic in the forest is worshipped by many as a goddess named "Dha Chrezha Giva" (The Treasure Giver). The Forest is also worshipped as a divine entity named "Faadha" (Father).

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Usually friendly, although infighting between Golem tribes is common.
