Strix

The strix is a small magical species of owl native to the Carthannas region, known for its sharp, tube-like beak which it uses to drink blood from its prey. The strix uses its long, sharp talons to grip into the flesh of its prey before stabbing through the skin with its beak and drawing blood up with its long, thin tongue.
