Islander

The Islanders are an ethnic group inhabiting the Shadow Archipelago. They are among the oldest people's on the Plateau and can trace their ancestry back to the first wave of humans. They are typically brown skinned with dark eye colours of brown or green varieties. Due to their sea fairing nature they have a fairly easy going and disorganised view of the world with many Islanders rejecting direct rule and often embracing various forms of autonomy and capitalism for their islands and towns. They are also known for their expansionist nature, particularly against the Píngshuǐ, Northern Golden Vale, and Western Polarin, due to their cultures history of piracy and merchants. Because of this, the inhabitants of the Golden Islands and the Frost Islands of the north and south tend to have more mixed blood than the other islands.
