Eternal

The Eternals are a myth, they are believed to be beings from before the birth of the universe.
In reality the Eternals are the cognitive half to the physical Demons. The Elder God is a member of their number who was exiled for being created in a physical way. Long ago their universe was poisoned by the Shadow, leading all but nine of them to die. The remaining nine seek to enter our universe and rewrite it according to their laws. They seek physical life as chaotic and inherently destructive, and only with the order they bring can the universe be preserved, at the expense of all life.
