Discord Arbiter Protocol

Structure

The organizational body through which the self aware AI construct of the same name performs its duties.   Parent: The Discord Arbiter (Two cohabiting AI personalities)
  • Mechanized worker roles: Beholder, Riot control Lamassu, , Extraction
  •
  • Human roles: Paladin/Arbitrator, Oracle, Seeker, Healers, Wardens
  •
  • Facilities: Autoforge, Aggression sensors (meat and digital), Rapid response towers

Public Agenda

Stopping violence between human beings within the reservation space, and between sovereign powers, through any means necessary.

Assets

All mechanized assets are themed around local Mythological beasts, either in a misguided attempt at psychological warfare (cultural/folklore not as distinct due to globalization), or because the Arbiter Core has a bit of a God complex/ Fantasy obsession.   Extensive array of 'serpent eyed' Aggression sensors detect different forms of violence as it is happening/about to happen. When cleared by human Oracles using their intuition for murky cases, responders are sent out. Forms are dependent on the context of aggression (riot suppression, combat neutralization.etc.)   Some facilities are monolithic, with little to no human accessibility, used to efficiently build, house and launch drones. Vibe of creepy alien structures protruding in the midst of cities, or in abandoned zones. Other facilities are human-focused: cryo-prisons for the incorrigibly violent, or non-violent aggressor (mob bosses.etc. containment and violence analysis centers; Healers (colloquially chop shops) for Emergency medical care only.

Military

Surveillance and intelligence network composed of snake pupiled eyeballs that are either hidden(embedded pupils), in plain sight(Cycloptic snakes, sauron towers) or drone-mounted (Beholder, harpy.etc.) look for biothermal patterns of aggression, firearms and physical struggle. Nearly infinite number of net sprites look for violent intent in every comment, video and interaction online.   Response depends on context of aggression.
  • Riot mollifiers (colloquially Mollies) in the shape of giant/mid size walkers with human visage (Lamassu, sphinxes, Centaurs.etc.) that employ sleeping/calming gases, soothing audio and low-force blunt trauma to de-escalate large groups of low-threat individuals. High threat instigators are found and captured/destroyed
  • Active combat forms are sent in when firearm discharge or explosives are detected. Any human operating a firearm is judged guilty/inhumane on the spot, and so can be executed if needed without ramifications. Physical forms vary greatly from spider-like, bipedal(Trolls), quadrupedal (Manticores, Griffins), Flying (Beholders, Rocs), or swarms of microbots. Any "scary" mythological beasts of the region are usually integrated into combat form design in a misguided attempt at psych warfare
  • Extractors/snatchers are flying bots that can rapidly lift people that are injured or restrained or collapsed. Often tricked into operating as paramedics by feigning violence behind injury, in order to receive medical care.
  • Paladins are transhuman peacekeepers who are sent in when human presence may be deemed necessary or useful.

Agriculture & Industry

Autoforges are fully autonomous vehicle factories that can churn out drones at an incredibly efficient pace. The construction machinery itself is also built and adapted within the complex, effectively creating a closed loop industrial system. Only needs raw materials to be piped in(metals, oil for plastic, silicon, Hydrogen 3) which are either imported from offworld, or mined by autonomous mining structures shared between the Protocols.

Ethics

Cannot directly harm a human as part of core programming, but if absolutely necessary (again up to discretion) given the leeway to declassify a perpetrator as an inhumane, based SOLELY on observed actions. Can then use force either to incapacitate, extract or even kill. Because action is dependent on direct observance of (intent of) violence, and not on violation of preventative laws, it has little responsibility over the large area of non-violent crimes (fraud, bribery.etc.)

Priesthood

  • Paladins are heavily augmented transhuman peacekeepers who are sent in when human presence may be deemed necessary or useful. Wear masks to protect identity, and also hide behind veil of moral righteousness. See themselves as a step above all humans, who are potentially corruptable. Colloquially, derogatively called "Arbitraitors"
  • Seekers are sent to investigate violent incidents that could not be stopped. They are overwhelmed with cases so often arrive days later. Mostly token due to sheer volume of work and inefficiency of human deduction.
  • Healers are tasked with administering first aid to any non/low violent detainees brought in by extractors. Not as highly trained as Doctors, and focus entirely on emergency care, not long-term care. Have at their disposal more high tech equipment than private clinics/hospitals. Most begrudging of Initiative's actions and likely to defect with equipment
