Personal history
Born to parents Henry and Meredith Carlisle, Alex was born in The Vinzent Sperl Hospital, Kerstadt, Durchland.
Meredith died during childbirth, along with many other women in the following days, causign the hospital to be put under observation. Henry took Alex despite mourning his wifes death and not having any idea how to be a single parent, however he did an excellent job.
Alex was picked out of a few children in the Lower Stacks area to be enrolled in a new school in the district free of charge, allowing her to learn and become top of her class. Through reading and watching her father at work as a weaponsmith, she found a love for metalwork. She learnt everything there was to know and more, the secrets and tips and everything that made her the jack of all trades she is.
At age 17, she was accepted into the Industrial University of Durchland, but an unfortunate event in The Stacks wiped out 1/4 of the district, including her father and home. She tried to appeal to the Durch Government and the Von Webers but they refused to help her, as well as many who suffered, due to their 'priority' being in other areas (definetly not because The Stacks is a slum and they want it gone).
Having nowhere to live, no family, and no source of income, Alex had to decline the Universities offer and find work where she could. Eventually a job listing for a weaponsmith was posted by the Emerald Reapers, offering a small pay of bone buckles and a room in their flophouse (The Jewel). Alex took this offer up as it was her only option, just trying to make it work until she found a better living.
After a month of working for the Emerald Reapers, one of the Ivory Wolves picked up on her potential if she were given proper tools and ammenities. The Wolf approached Wallace Lott about her, making Alex a target on Lotts radar.
Education
She was picked from a few children in Lower Guphoal to be enrolled in a free school (no charge), giving her a chance to have a life. She was top of her class and went on to learning smithing like her father. She was listed to enrol in the Industrial University of Durchland but due to complications had to decline.
Employment
She was always around in her fathers smithy watching him work, until he invited her to learn smithing and toolmaking. She was a natural at it, even earning a place at The Industrial University of Durchland. When she had to decline this offer, she went to work for the Emerald Reapers gang based in Mirstone as a 'tool cleaner', until she rised up to lead weaponsmith.
