The flying squad of Elebar

One of the most famous island in the Oryuh Archipelago probably is the Elebar island, famous for its arts, its produce, its religions, its beautiful men and women. But ine can ask, are they more rich, organised, artistic or beautiful than the rest? I would say bot, but one thing they understand well is trade. As far as memory goes, the Elebaran have traveled between islands and traded with others. First, they used boats, and they were the first to do so, engaging the others to do the same (and selling a few boats at the same time). But as most the others island had taken hold of the boats and make them their own, the Elebaran tried something to stand out.
This is when they invented the shearships and created the flying squad of Elebar. They managed to find a power source powerful enough to make the ships take flight. Some say it’s scientific, some say it’s magic. It’s probably a but of both but no one knows because they didn’t share that knowledge and the secret of these ships is kne of the great mysteries of our time.
What is certain is that from the day they invented those, no Elebar marchant would be caught dead on a water ship. All trade are now made by these flying ships, called Shearships because of the position and aspect of the wings, very fragile looking and working in opposition rather than in harmony like those of an animal. Other than those, the ships look the same as water based ones, but the Elebar use their art and most talented artists to decorate their ships in a very recognisable manner. (As if the flying aspect would not suffice) Most ships show pictures of skies, magic and power, artfully displaying the forces of the Elebar people without having to say so.
