The Ensectas Houses
The Ensectas houses are unofficially called the "Haunted Houses" of the neighborhood. They are dark, creepy, and old. Everyone who gets within a foot of their front yard is warned with a gunshot and a sign "The booby traps don't play nice."
Purpose / Function
To grow and train the future generation of criminals, and to scare the snot out of their neighbors.
Alterations
As far as anyone knows the Aves have never updated or changed thier houses since they moved in, which could possibly mean the houses have never been updated since they were made.
Most of the neighbors don't believe this, since the house would look much more dilapidated now, instead many think it is a purposeful aesthetic choice done by the Ensectas family.
Architecture
The Ensectas only own three houses, but they are the creepiest haunted houses all year round. The red bricks are covered with a sickly green moss, the roofs are falling apart, and the grass is dead.
Each house is different and unique, bringing a different version of creepy to the neighborhood. One house uses spiderwebs (possibly real ones) to decorate the corners of their windows and front door. Another uses a collasping roof over the front door and supposedly rotting wood. The third house does not look creepy, but feels it. The lights are never one and the house has a constant look of death and darkness over it.
Defenses
No one willingly goes over to the Ensectas Houses without an invitation. One because the Houses just look uninviting and two the booby traps are legendary. Flamethrowers, grenades, military grade guns, long thin shapr knives. They have the works.
One wrong move on their front lawn even with an invitation and one could find themselves on the highway to the afterlife very quickly.
Tourism
Despite the unsettling look of the houses The Ensectas are a very popular family in the neighborhood and are almost constantly inviting two or three people to come over for tea and gossip. Although the houses may look scary, the inside is supposedly very nice and comfortable.
