Entrance Examinations Manual

Introduction

Welcome to The Entrance Examinations Manual where you will find everything you need to know in order to enter this prestigious, criminal community. The Entrance Examinations or Entrance Exams are a series of tests one must take in order to enter The Offender's Neighborhood. These Exams will test the basic skills every criminal must have: a quick Mind, a strong Body, and a sharp Tongue as well as testing their ability to perform under pressure, by themselves, and as a team.

How This Works

The Exams are divided into "classes." These classes tell the participant what to expect in that Exam. For example, a Mind, Time Exam involves more analytical thinking, deduction, and other mental processes than using physical strength, while a Body, Solo Exam would be a single person completing some physical challenge, such as rolling a log three miles.   These Exams test different things for different families, for example the oldest family in this particular neighborhood are The Canis, and they test the person's speed in tongue and body. Emphasizing a need to work together and alone. The newest family, The Cats, have stated that every Exam must be passed in order to officially enter their family and the neighborhood.   The tests vary from generation to generation. These tests are created and overseen by the The Elders. The Elders change every year, which means each Elder is in charge of the two rounds of testing. One held in the summer, the other in the winter. However, depending on the amount of children and several other factors sometimes all the tests will be held in the summer and done throughout the months.   Lastly, each Exam is overseen by an Overseer. This person will determine whether a person passes the Exam or not. Most of the time these Overseers will not be in the same room as the person taking the Exam, however there are a few exceptions depending on what the Exam is.   If a person fails an Exam the room will turn a blood red. Afterwards they will return home, inform their parents and family of their failure, grab what they can, and leave. Some will go to a pre-planned orphanage their family informed them of before they left for the Exams, in case they failed. Most, however, do not, and are sent to wander around the world, looking for help.

The Step-By-Step

If you are taking part in The Exams, you will arrive at the Examinations Building at 6 o'clock. (Please be on time.) Once everyone has arrived the doors will open. You, your teammates, and fellow neighbors will be escorted into the auditorium. The Elders of that year will great you and give you any extra information that might not have been given to you in your Manual.   Once the announcements and rewards have been listed, you and your teammates will complete as many or simply the needed Exams to officially enter into your criminal family.   A small note that may help, there is a map just outside the auditorium that lists where each Exam is, and a legend that tells which color your family has been assigned. Once you know your color, you will go to whichever Exam you need/want to take and will find the room with the Mission Briefing of the corresponding color. Read the Mission Briefing and complete The Exam.

What is the Point?

The question you may now be asking yourself is "Why do these Exams? What is the Point, exactly?" The reason these Exams take place with these rules is to find out who the true criminals are. Who is meant to be a criminal, and who is not.   If you are not meant to be a criminal, or if you do not want to be one, you will "fail" and leave, then attempt to find a meaning for your life. If you are meant to be a criminal you will succeed or fail trying your hardest.   These Exams are to separate those who truly are offenders, and those who simply enjoy mischief.   If you have any additonal questions or concerns please leave them down below.
