Universal Enforcement Agency

The "Universal Enforcement Agency" (UEA) functions as the primary law enforcement authority across the known universe. It covers diverse legal territories, including interplanetary crime, space piracy, and smuggling. The agency follows a hierarchical structure with defined roles and responsibilities to effectively manage law enforcement on a universal scale. It is by far the largest single governmental or law enforcement organization in the Octant.

Structure

  Supreme Enforcers (8)
  • Responsibility: They oversee the entire Octant and set high-level strategic directions and priorities. They act on the will of the Octant High Council.
  • Base of Operations:
  • Core Sectors: Established central command bases.
Frontier Sectors: Mobile command stations or frontier outposts.

  • Responsibility: Oversee multiple star systems, coordinating efforts, and ensuring the Supreme Enforcer's directives are being implemented.
  • Base of Operations: Major planets or space stations within their jurisdiction.
  System Wardens

  • Base of Operations: Regional space stations or key planets within their sector.
  Legionaries
  • Number: Potentially hundreds of thousands to millions across the Octant.
  • Responsibility: They are the foot soldiers, responsible for carrying out day-to-day law enforcement, investigations, and maintaining general order.
  • Base of Operations: Mobile (onboard ships) or stationed at local precincts.
  Specialized Units
  • Tracers: Elite investigative unit for interstellar crimes. Operate across multiple star systems.
  • Sentinels: Specialized for space combat. Defend against space piracy, smuggling, or other cosmic threats.
  • Explorers: Specifically for the Frontier Sectors, tasked with scouting beyond the Void Frontier and gathering intel on unexplored regions.
  • Ambassadors: Liaisons with ancient civilizations and major powers to maintain diplomatic relations and non-interference treaties.
  Support Units
  • Intelligence: Gather, analyze, and distribute key information across the Octant.
  • Logistics: Ensure the smooth flow of supplies, equipment, and personnel.
  • Training Academies: Located primarily in the Core Sectors to train new recruits and offer advanced courses for existing personnel.
The UEA’s “Core” Sectors are Octants 1-4 (Nexus, The Arm, Helix Reach, Echelon) The “Frontier” Sectors are Octants 5-8 (Zephyr, Horizon Belt, Starfallen Basin, Void Frontier)
