The Octant

To effectively manage and enforce the law, the known universe is divided into eight sectors collectively known as The Octant. Each sector has an official numeric designation but also possesses common slang names. The Octants are arranged in a circular pattern around The Arm, which is at the center of the known universe, forming a sphere when viewed in a 3D plane. As you move outward from The Arm, you enter each successive Octant, with Void Frontier being the farthest one from the center. Sectors 1-4 are considered to be “Core Sectors” by the UEA.
