Blood of the Vine

A single shaft of light thrusts illumination into the main square, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. Above the gaping doorway, a sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern.

The Blood of the Vine is the only tavern in Barovia. What was once a fine building has long since grown rotten and decayed, leaving a mere husk of its former self. A large sagging hearth has a pitiful fire in in it, with generally several Barovians huddled up around it to hide from the shadows they so fear. The inn is owned by three mortu sisters: Alenka, Mirabel and Sorvia.
