The Border
The Border is a general name that refers to the spaces around the land of the Nightlight Zone, only described as an endless void. As the empty space is unable to support any stable ecosystems, any lifeform caught in the abyss will inevitably die. At the edges are beings of unimaginable sizes, which are thought to be the ones responsible for their realm's creation.
Geography
At the edges of the Nightlight Zone's land, there is an upraise of rock that is shaped like a cliff. Just below is a sea of dense water colored vantablack, completely flat unlike the halocline in the Pits. In some areas, the geography of the Nightlight Zone slopes, and allows some of the water to seep in, but travel no further than a few feet at most. The wildlife seems unaffected when it does this.
Fauna & Flora
The only lifeforms that are able to live in this region are a race of creatures called the Watchers. They are enormous, and are only visible among the darkness due to the white glowing marks outlining their bodies. Unlike other creatures in the Nightlight Zone, these beings are sentient, and are possibly as old as the realm itself, though they have not shared much information about themselves. We do not know what they want, or what they plan for the future. Some think there is a reason they do not want us to know.
