Yathander, God of The Sun

The Morning Father, The Radiant King, The Wisdom Keeper

Divine Domains

Yathander's authority over his domains are as strong as Teiva's, but he does not keep hoard his domains completely to himself, allowing other deities such as Seranrae and Leandros to inhabit domains that overlap with him.

The Sun and Radiance:

Wisdom and Self-Betterment:

Peace and Understanding:

Celestials:

As the most radiant/good being in the material ring, he has ultimate authority over the celestials that reside from the Divine Realms. Unlike the betrayers who hoard their armies like tools, Yathander treats the celestials with deep respect as individuals and shares them with all the non-betrayer deities aside from Loki and Primus. A good portion of celestials (usually based in the realm they were born in) choose to serve the others, but the mightiest celestials chose to serve Yathander.

Artifacts

Wrappings of Self-Perfection:

What appears to be humble wrappings intertwined with monk mala beads are intricately inscribed with celestial writings on methods of forms of improvement in martial arts; they wrap around an individuals hands up to their shoulders. They naturally draw vitality to those attuned to their body physically (ki points) but when a unarmed fighter delivers a perfect strike (critical hit) the humble cloth glows into its true celestial nature, empowering the fighter to seek more movements of perfection. They were crafted from centuries of monks' study of martial arts, and when the Divine War began, Yathander would receive their writings as a vessel for his power, inscribing it on celestial cloth with his own hands in the hopes the art of monastic self-perfection would not be lost in the ensuing war. Yathander will only accept a wielder that pursues physical and mental self-perfection, caring less about the results and more the ambition to become better for a noble or inner cause.

Plate of The Rising Sun

Edge of Dawn

Feeling for Eilistraee who's elven people were being taken by Lilith, he created a radiant katana the shined like the morning horizon in the style of their ancient elven culture. And granted it to the elves that sought to defend themselves against Lilith and her puppets. Desiring to weaken the influence of power of the drow puppets and Lilith's abyssal power itself, he infused the blade with radiant sunlight.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Yathander seeks to make an ideal world of good for the sake of humanity and the mortal realm. He pursues this through guiding mortals towards perfection and opposing evil. Unlike how it is normally perceived, perfection in Yathander's eyes is not an unchanging state of being without fault, knowing it is impossible with the mortal condition, rather the unyielding pursuit of that state of being in itself. If every mortal were to simply pursue perfection in this way, everyone could trust one another as they better each other and the world itself. If all of mortality simply walked away from the temptation of evil, the realms of evil and its gods would have little to no power in the mortal realm at all. The future of the New World he seeks is one where instead of good fighting to persist despite domineering evil, that it would be the other way around.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

Though their approach towards humanity is vastly different, their goals are essentially the same when boiled down. Whether it be the natural balance maintained or the perfection of humanity; both is sought after for the sake of an ideal world for those that inhabit it. Even though Teiva sees Yathander as too idealistic, and he sees her as harshly pragmatic, neither will oppose their approach as there is a fundamental truth found in both.   After The Great Storm, while definitely upset and horrified by what she did, he does not judge her for doing it now. He saw that there was no malice in her heart in what she did, and respects her for at least making a difficult decision when none of the other prime dieties were willing to do anything to truly end the war. He has adopted that spirit of assertion in his pursuits of good from Teiva for sure.
