South-Eastern Mountains (Herikka)

These mountains are tall and steep, which forms a huge wall that divides Herikka into smaller regions.

Information

The mountains contain multiple mines and caves that has been sealed off by Herikka to protect the inhabitants from the horrors below.

Dwelling deep into the caverns underneath the mountain the adventurers found an underground lake that may take them to the river that descends on the South-Eastern slopes of the Herikka.

Deep within the mountains the adventurer's found a village of Nerfs, tiny purple-teal gnomes. They seems to live and breathe magic as a result of their village being founded on a small font of Kalevalian Blue Flame.

Deeper yet there is a subterranean fungi forest with a fresh-water river and plenty of life. This gargantuan cavity is most likely connected to many different parts of the mountain-range. One settlement that was discovered was some sort of forge/mine beloning to a pack of Black-Dwarfs

Geography

Steep mountains with a couple of inactive volcanic peaks. The stone is colored in a peculiar red-yellow hue which makes them especially beautiful to watch as the sun gently caresses them. There is little vegetation once one gets as high as 500m+, only some barren bushes, roots and trees fight thirstily fight against the sun at those altitudes.
