The Turnal Rage

Metaphysical / Paranormal event

Circa 3000's - early 4100's or the Turnal Rage

The Turnal cross the First Realm combating Light as it does. It is Shadow that stumbles and is taken from, weakening the Turnal in the process. The Turnals' ire is unquenchable and they overreach themselves.

Shadow flew throughout the realm. It was unfettered and confident. What could prevent it from going where it wished? Light was powerless as Shadow could exist wherever Light did. As an opponent, Shadow was even more difficult than Darkness for Light to deal with.     Shadow had aided the Turnal, gifting all with the potencies available to them. Shadow was pleased to be brought into the frays that the most powerful Race of Darkness committed to. These conflicts were decidedly against the force of Light. Light served many gods among the pantheons. The subsequent Pantheonick Wars gave to the Turnal, immediate access to these gods. Some gods looked at the Turnal and desired to wrest them from Darkness. The Turnal for the main part did not sway from the Dark master. The pantheons fought one another at the exclusion of all other present concerns and with little mindfulness of what a total war might mean for them in the future. The first pantheons fell to the hands of those superior and to those gods whom Light or Darkness had favoured. In the pantheon of the Veightal there was success. Shadow had seen a god named, Set. It had helped this god to achieve many things. Set destroyed much of other pantheons in the name of Darkness, Shadow's master. Shadow was certain that as a simple god, Set was no more potent than itself. All that Set achieved worked well enough for Shadow's purposes. Shadow grew in the eye of Darkness. Set was called the Destroyer of Worlds and the Bringer of Darkness. Shadow wished that Set was more humble before it and that he was called the Bringer of Shadow. Darkness told Shadow to know its place and to look elsewhere for its own glory.     Shadow became irritated by Set's successes but could not stand against the Destroyer, as he worked for the greater cause. Shadow threw the Turnal into a conflict hastily, where Set was already well-involved. Shadow moved the Turnal to strike preemptively at the pantheon of the Norskans. What Shadow missed and the Turnal could not know was that Set had already engendered the end of this pantheon. It was a plane where there was an end of time legend, in which this end came at the jaws of a great wolf. Nothing else would incite the gods of this plane to seek a final battle. Shadow's involving the Turnal came just as these gods were fully prepared for battle against Set, the Wolf-headed destroyer. Their father-god brought his full power down upon the Turnal taking them for the vanguard of their foe. Lightning flashed everywhere and incessantly. The power was beyond the potency of the many Turnal there. This was meant for the Veightal's destroyer god but it fell on the Turnal instead. In the fierce lightning of the father-god and his son the Thunder-bringer, there was no place for Shadow to dwell, no spot where Shadow could be. The Turnal were slain totally. Only the Factor Nexeze managed to escape, tattered and abject, he brought word of Shadow's failure to match the power of this single pantheon. The Turnnal were forced to appraise their position. They knew that Darkness was the key to their power. Darkness was a Power as Shadow was not. They claimed for a vengeance and Darkness, well-angered by Shadow's mistake, gave to the Turnal the broader potency to achieve this. The Turnal rose and in turning against Shadow, brought itself into focus to the forces Light.     The creatures of Shadow were seen as justifiable targets by the Turnal and they brought their potencies against these servants. This took the Turnal throughout the realm. Light watched. It did not wait. A potency called, Colour was armed by Light to take the Turnal by surprise when the time was right. The Turnal moved with new abandon, reveling in the potent energies Darkness had afforded them. Colour wasn't noticed until it was upon them. Darkness could do nothing in swift reply when the Colours descended on the Turnal. The first altercations were all lost by the Turnal that traveled throughout the realm. While the subsequent battles culled from both sides, the initial defeats were to prove the tipping point in the end. Colour grew throughout the many years of attack and reprisal. It might be viewed that the Turnal helped to forge the growing strength of Colour and their subsequent fall and fate to succumb to the Contagion of Colour. So too, it could be said that the Turnal caused the downfall of Shadow and the eventual means for the Turnals salvation. In the end of this time, Colour was revealed to be a greater thing than any one Race could claim. It emerged as a potency equal to at least that of Trump.
