Still finding their way and learning what they are, the demi-race looks within its growing ranks for guides and eventual leaders. Individual prowess is seen to be paramount. There is much on Dweomer that they must learn.

This period of time sees the young Turnal meeting up with one another at various points on Dweomer. The world is not a spherical planet but more a random-seeming, series of interconnected hills of substance. These formations are not earth, air or water but something like and unlike all three. What might be a surface to stand upon one day could turn yielding or entirely absent the next. The invisible spectrum is this way. Difficult to grasp. Opposite, confusing, comforting and familiar, all at once.     The Turnal find each other through the sensory confusion by means of their ‘keenpang’. This is the way the Turnal are able to speak to one another. Over distance they are capable of locating others of their kind. In this time period, the ability affords the young Turnal the chance to realise that some are more determined of mind than others. In particular, four Turnal stand out from the rest. These don’t so much converse as demand that others meet them. These early meetings are resolutions of one type or another.     Over this period, the four Turnal survive and become the Turnal Factors.
