The Realm of the Dead

Ríocht na’Ölü, or The Realm of the Dead, is one of The Three Realms, alongside Ríok na’Ölim (The Mortal Realm) and Ríok na’Díósó’tüa (The Realm of the Gods).
Ríok na’Ölü is where all dead go to enter the cycle of reincarnation, mortal and god alike. Here they go through the process of cleansing, watched over by the various gods of the underworld and their celestial servants.
Not all of Ríok na’Ölü looks like one might imagine, it is the all-encompassing afterlife after all. Thus, it varies from the gloomy regions one might expect to paradise. Even in the verdant regions, however, no one lives here - even the various gods and celestials who oversee the realm are themselves already dead.
