The Multiverse

In the multiverse in which A Solitary God in a Darker Multiverse takes place, a cataclysmic battle decimated the multiverse over half a million years ago. This battle utterly destroyed all existing gods, demon lords, angel lords, archon queens, and other powerful creator beings, known colloquially as "higher beings". The story itself follows a newborn god named Althos who somehow came to life over half a million years after the mysterious catastrophe that decimated the multiverse, parentless, and almost alone.   The world of Torus, the first setting in the story, is a high-fantasy world that is the birthplace of the last god in existence: Althos. It is a land of intrigue, magic, mysterious empires, and distant, vast, and eerie continents. The story itself will take place in a grander multiverse consisting of many different universes and dimensions.   Althos came to life in Puerto Rico, an island that is populated by assorted creatures, like goblins, reptilefolk, human colonists, dark elves, and bizarre giants as well as a variety of wildlife.   Authors note:   This world-anvil site is a living, breathing wiki for the story and will be updated as the story is updated. The story has over 200 chapters and a new chapter is posted at least weekly.
