The Disrespectful Children

2513-JHN-03 is one of the smaller planets we've recently started inhabiting, but despite its small size it's remarkable indeed. Its children have cared for it well and have respected their mother most honorably! We thank Amola for this gift!
— The Guaplori's High Speaker during an interview concerning the latest colonies

The Disrespectful Children

Unlike what the High Speaker may claim, 2513-JHN-03 had not been treated with any resemblance of respect. The planet, called Earth by its Children, was in such a bad shape it took the Guaplori several generations of conditioning to undo the centuries of conflict and hate. And when they finally were ready to move onto the last step of the cleansing, many of the so called humans grew suspicious over the medicine. At this point most have been convinced, but the Guaplori suspect there are still those who haven't been given the treatment. Some argue it must soon be time to take up arms against and find these remaining groups, terminating them the old fashioned way, but others strongly disagree, claiming it to be against the Guaplori ways or simply that they can wait until the rest of the population is gone.

The uncooperative children

Some humans simply refuse to believe all the technological advances could come from humans alone. It hasn't been rare to encounter some more unwilling individuals on the planets cleansed by the Guaplori, but never have they been both so many in numbers and so convicted to their beliefs. Unknown to the Guaplori, these uncooperative humans keep in contact mainly through closed networks and a few physical meeting places. None of them yet have any sort of proof that the medicine isn't what it seems, nor do they have any idea about the Guaplori and their plans.

Author's Notes

Hello! And thank you for reading my article! This was made for the Tale Foundry challenge. Due to some creative fatigue, its current state is pretty rough, but I still wanted to share my ideas! I intend to clean it up in the future, but hopefully you didn't find it too messy in its current state ^^
