Haloni-worm
The medical miracle everyone agrees on tastes absolutely horrible.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The worm is very simple, with no discernable features except its sections. One worm usually has about 5 different parts, the separation points looking almost like small rings.
Genetics and Reproduction
The worm doesn't really have a set mating period. Instead, two worms of the opposite sex mate if they meet each other, and one is not already "taken" for the period they take care of their eggs.
Growth Rate & Stages
Spending it's first 7 days of its life as an egg, the Haloni-worm fully matures during the course of just 5 days. During its lifespan they will mate about 6 times total.
Ecology and Habitats
You can find the worms in the forest, often hiding beneath fallen branches or in other damp spots during the day, to come out at night.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The worm lives on the forest floor, eating fallen leaves and dead plants.
Additional Information
Domestication
When it was discovered that the worm had many medical uses, people started collecting it. Due to their low maintenance and being eager to breed even in captivity, Haloni-worm farms were set up in some cities. These supply the general area around the city with worms.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The Haloni-worm is bred to be used as an all-round medicine. They can help cure everything from a fever to being possessed. The worm is slowly cooked over a day's time and then consumed by the sick person. Pretty much everyone has at some point eaten a worm, and everyone agrees they taste horrible. Biting down on it the texture feels squishy until it bursts. The taste is usually described to be like mixing the sourest plant you can find with fish oil.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The worm doesn't have any sight but instead feels it's way around its environment. This makes them fairly easy prey.

Author's Notes
Hello! And thank you for reading my article!
This was made during the Summer Camp 2018 challenge. I won't be editing any of these to keep them for looking back on. That being said some I'm really not happy with, so I'll most likely put up an edited version at some point. If I do you will be able to find the link on the top of the page
