Necro-mechs

Necro-mechs are Arcano-mechanical] units powered by a cosmic soul, a unique creation only made possible by the deity known as Panoption Prime. Cosmic souls are artificial replicas, mimicking the powers of a real, abyssal soul, granting life and intelligence to whatever it inhabits; however, due to the lack of an abyssal connection, cosmic souls, and by extension necro-mechs, cannot experience the emotions and true freedom that a creature with a soul has.

Far more advanced than a simple golem, which, by nature of their construction only have simple programming, necro-mechs have full intelligence, capable of devising strategies, communicating and even learning from their surroundings. This feature has allowed the Farron Imperium, which Panoption Prime currently works for, to leverage necro-mechs as their primary, and almost sole military units.

Necro-mech Models

Necro-mech designs are frequently improved and reworked, with several different companies having produced their own lines of units, for both military and utility uses.

Prime Series

The Prime Series is developed by Panoption Prime themself, and were the models used during their incursion upon the Farron Imperium when they first emerged. All PS necro-mechs are intended for military use, though their versatile designs allow them to fill many roles. The PS necro-mechs embody the necromantic source of the cosmic soul's power, as all their models are uncannily inspired by humanoid skeletons.

PS-1040 Legionary The Legionary design is a simplistic but hardy front-line unit, designed to use a standard issue lens blaster, along with a quick-deploy back-mounted greataxe for close-quarters combat. With their stark white faceplates and rib-like structures along their torsos, the Legionaries are the most resemblant of skeletons, albeit far bulkier.

PS-800 Centurion The Centurion is a far larger model, armed with a twin barrel multi-cannon, and two missile pods upon their back, intended for a supportive, heavy infantry role, dishing out a devastating two-shot barrage of armour piercing rounds, followed up by a volley of concussive missiles. Far larger and more heavily armoured than the Legionary units, Centurions have a slightly more organic look to their outer armour plating, bone white plates cover the torso and face, and their powerful legs have built-in rocket boosters.
