Tessa Smith
Tessa Smith is one of the main characters from American author Russell Nielsen's "The Midgardians and the Nine Realms" fantasy novel series. She is one of the three main protagonists in the novels along with her brother Andrew and friend Travis. Her first appearance will be in Russell's first novel which is planned to be released in 2021,
Tessa's family consists of her father United States Marine Corps Major, Martin Smith (who was killed in action in 2020), her mother Jessica White-Smith, and her older brother Andrew Smith. She is tomboyish, headstrong, feisty, independent, and not a fan of the traditional female roles (much to her mother's dismay.) Tessa was born in Midgard (Earth) in the year 2005, making her 15 years old at the start of the story.
Tessa is left-handed and is a talented student who always achieves some of the highest grades in her school year. Despite her mother's insistence that she be more ladylike, and trying to push her towards typical activities for girls her age, Tessa shows no interest in cosmetics, dancing, shopping, and spending time with other girls her age. She is a tomboy who enjoys video games, camping, and hiking. She is particularly close to her older brother Andrew Smith, who is her best and one of her only friends. Andrew always encourages Tessa's independence (much to their mother's chagrin) while also acting as her confidant. Throughout the novels, Tessa grows immensely as a person, including getting into her first relationship, and other secrets which cannot be released yet.
Tessa has an athletic physique, round face, blue eyes, and dark brown hair, and is said to be a mixture of her mother in her looks, and her father in her adventurous spirit. At the start of the series, she is immature and has a hard time listening to the advice of those around her. Throughout the series, she grows immensely as a person and has a story arc of redemption, growth, and bravery.
