Spark
Goddess of Renewal
Light Domain
“And when the world was darkest, and Ushtarg dominated the sky, then Spark showed us the way – she lit the candles that guided our path” – extract from “The Tome of Eight”. There was a time when Spark was believed to be the sun, bringing light to the world – in fact, some worshippers in Provincia still hold this view. But the more popular view is that Spark was born of the water, appearing from a river and emanating a glow so bright, that few could look upon her true form. It is believed that she was an elven maid, too beautiful for most eyes to behold, and spent the majority of her days seeking out lost souls. Apparently, Spark could bring back souls that had been claimed by darkness, submerging their bodies in the river waters, before having them born anew. Spark’s symbol is the sun over a waterfall, representing the light she brings, as well as her methods of doing so. When it rains, followed by sunshine, it is believed by the devout that this is Spark washing over, cleansing the world with her goodness and light.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
