The Manylands
Welcome to The Manylands. A world divided. Divided by war, history, borders geographical and political. A world of variety, defined by its melting pot of races, beliefs, cultures and philosophies. An imperfect world, and a world on the brink of conflict.
A cold war rages at it's centre. Bitter rivals are ready to spill blood once again, old wounds that have yet to heal. The Dragonborn Kingdom of Rachir, and the Burakrin Republic of Humans and Dwarves, are poised to strike along the borders, both overcome with paranoia that the other will make the first move.
To the North, a much more open conflict, between the clans of Provincia, and the Orc raiders of Orruskan, both feeling entitled to the lands of the other.
And to the South, the mysterious Elven Empire of Fallen Stars, a collaboration of Elves and Merfolk, united as exemplified by the Empress-Heir, who, when crowned, will be the first Mer-Elf leader in the dynasty's history.
And as well as nations, guilds and organisations vie for dominance. The Golden Way Consortium - a collection of mercantile groups that control the desert nation of Isk. The Order of the Broken Fang - a group of knights devoted to maintaining the natural order, seeking to vanquish abominations and the unnatural. The infamous Many Masks Guild - a group of cutthroats, pickpockets and tricksters that are near impossible to track. The secretive Creation Collective - radical Dwarves promoting the message of their one true god. The revered Red Mages of Kothar - powerful mystics with a penchant for the arcane. And many more besides!
