Grizette
Goddess of the Wild
Nature Domain
“Be careful when you wander in Thul Woods. You wander too far, only Grizette will be able to watch over you, and she is an unpredictable mistress!” – a Provincian Clan-mother warns her children. Many parts of the Manylands have been little explored, since geography or terrifying beasts block the path. The latter is sometimes attributed to Grizette, believed to be a druid of such power that she could tame even the most formidable of creatures. Many believe she whispers to the birds, that stags are her eyes and ears in the forest, and that she follows a code unbeknownst to any but herself. The wilder parts of the Manylands, including The Forgotten Lands and Laranlas, are believed to be her domain, with secrets buried deep within that only the birds and beasts still know. Grizette, in life, was believed to be adorned with stag antlers, with long green hair that tumbled like vines. Stags are believed to be guardians of the forest, because they have been touched by Grizette. As such, the stag’s head is the official symbol of her. Those who seek Grizette may spend days wandering the wilds, in particular looking for stags, but often signs from other beings will suffice – Grizette does work in mysterious ways.Remove these ads.
