A ritual in the Ganigash foothills in the Kingdom of Sasila leads to the outlawing of a religion and a series of minor clashes between the Sasik Cavalry and the Verdant Druids.

The yearly festival of Bright's Rise in the city had to be moved due to a sudden storm wrecking many of the flowers. The location chosen was a large meadow in the Ganigash Foothills that was favoured by many of the older members of the Verdant Druids. The only issue is that the Sasik Cavalry often patrolled the area due to its proximity to their closest fiefs.   Despite attempts to make the celebrators invisible to those outside the druidic fold, the Cavalry did discover their revelry. This led to a couple of arrests and a renewed ban on the druidic religion in the Kingdom; as the city of Xa was nominally part of the Grand Marquisate of Helwin, this was considered unlawful.   The immediate aftermath of the arrests was the theft of the arrested folk from the Cavalry. According to journals of a Cavalry officer, the druids turned into large wolves and spooked all of their horses to cause a distraction. An aging druid wrote that they turned into a flock of ravens and crows in order to sneak into the camp under the cover of night. Either way, the arrested members of the festival were freed.   This led to a handful of smaller skirmishes where the Sasik Cavalry attempted to recapture the festival-goers and retaliate against the druids for their interference, while the various bands of Laxa kept them at bay. While they were not incredibly successful, and at least one druid of the city was killed in the struggles that occurred during these few years, this event attracted the attention of the Marquisate to the region, leading to an increased presence of the Marquisate's troops. This guaranteed the independence of the region on one hand and also opened the region up to the wider world.
