In this year, the Verdant Druids met for the first time as a group, naming their meeting place Xa, or the Centre, and thereby establishing a city.

Until this point, various bands of druids populated the forests of what would become Sasila and Helwin. Some of them had grudges against one another, and small skirmishes between them and their followers were not unheard of.   In the years leading up to the city's founding, several of these bands began to merge together, the druids that lead them setting aside their differences and working together. As the year of XXX began, they prepared an in-person meeting of their members in order to establish their organization properly.   Eventually, the meeting place was chosen, a small island located in an oxbow of the Frian River. This island was believed to be the old haunt of one of the nature gods, perhaps of Walos. After some deliberation, they set up a camp here and hammered out the organization that would become the Verdant Druids. Their camp was named Xa, which in Comaxa means "centre", as the camp was the centre of their new organization.   The camp stayed in place, as the assembled druids and their followers became enamoured of the flower-filled riverbanks and the iridescent fish in the waters of the Frian. Rather than disbanding, they decided to make their camp permanent, weaving the trees of the island and the nearby shorelines to build magnificent living bridges. Thus was Xa built, a living testament to the druids' power.
