Personal Abjuration Shield

Description

This device attaches to your utility belt, when activated it creates a shield of abjuration magic around the user that deflects damage.

Properties

Creates a temporary shield that deflects blows. As a reaction activate to give +2 AC until the start of your next turn. The device has 4 charges.

The Vortex Star reaction

If the shield comes in contact with void weaponry, a large explosion occurs. Each creature in a 60-foot-radius sphere centred on you must make a Dexterity saving throw, DC 16. In a failed save, take 8d10 force damage, or half as much damage on a successful one.
If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, it is disintegrated. A disintegrated creature and everything it is wearing and carrying, except magic items, are reduced to a pile of fine grey dust. The creature can be restored to life only by means of a true resurrection or a wish spell. This spell automatically disintegrates a Large or smaller nonmagical object or a creation of magical force. If the target is a Huge or larger object or creation of force, this spell disintegrates a 10-foot-cube portion of it. A magic item is unaffected by this spell.
