There’s a tune in the air, the soft whistle of a melody no longer familiar. You step through the shelves and halls, eyes barely wandering as you follow more the sound than anything else. It takes some time of wandering and tracking, the Libraries giving you a chase for your desires, but soon you reach a small alcove where shelves open up to a small table, low hanging lights shifting for sweeping windows holding an unrecognizable view.

You stare at the windows for a beat before your attention is given over to the table again, the notes haunting you finally settling around the soft presence of a Being.

She sits with calm attention, one hand easily sweeping through pen and page, the act more obvious in her movements than anything else. The pen flows with liquid Magicks, the soft breath of fantastical adventures shifting around her as she works, eyes barely focusing on the page as she sways with her own mind. You take steps forward, barely realize how close you are getting until the Being gives you their full attention, dimples showing themselves as a bright smile greets your soft confusion. “Hello there, Wanderer of the Library. Are you in need of any assistance?”

Description and Appearance

Muse is one of the Librarians, given over to the duties and responsibilities of the Tree, the Whispers, and the Libraries themselves. Given Immortality and Invulnerability, Muse exists within the realms of young adulthood for Humanity, and hold much of the opinions and thoughts of those within that age group.

She is in possession of brown eyes with gold speckles within the iris, along with long, highlighted brown hair that falls over her shoulders and to her elbows. She stands with the ranges of a five and six feet, holding the build of a casual athlete, more fit for the gentle existence of a healthy lifestyle than the rigorous training of any competitor. Beauty marks in the form of freckles align the bridge of her nose, and outline the bottom of her eyes and the top of her cheekbones, and simple dimples tend to hold residence next to the corner of her mouth, as she is more known to smile than any other emotion.

True to the attire of the Librarians, Muse's normal wardrobe consists of simple slacks of any solid color variety, with a button up white shirt, and any form of vest, sweater, coat, or other outer garment of her choosing. Also given over to the presence of the person, Muse holds the thought of drawing over her hands and arms, though these are normally hidden beneath her uniforms as she makes her rounds throughout the Libraries. Simple sneakers holding more drawings, words, and doodles are her everyday choice, and it is owned by preference, as any footwear is allowed within the regulations of the Libraries.

Soft spoken and easily shifting between the formal and casual speech of any and all Beings, Muse holds the Knowledge of Language and Foundation, gifted by the Magicks of the Libraries, though most of her own capabilities and affinities are more solidly connected to her history within the Beings of Humanity.

Duties and Responsibilities

Holding onto the titles of both, “The Librarian’s Assistant,” and “The Guide of the Wanderers,” Muse holds quite a few duties and responsibilities within the Libraries. Currently residing under the guidance and influence of the Librarian, Muse is given domain over the more social aspects of the Libraries, and it is within these affinities that she tends to hold herself proud.

Pertaining To The Title, "The Librarian's Assistant,"

Transcribing and Organizing Incoming Works into the Libraries

Annotating and Noting all of the more Major Beings and Beasts and their Influences on the Worlds

•

Sorting and Recording the Occurrences happening within the Libraries

•

Checking on the Residents of the Libraries, to ensure their Thriving State

•

Providing Services to the Librarian, should it be needed

Pertaining To The Title, "Guide Of The Wanderers,"

Guiding and Safekeeping the Beings and Entities who wish to present themselves to the Libraries

•

Ensuring the Protection and Keeping of any and all Knowledge to be both offered and desired

•

Keeping Track of every Being and Beast who wanders into the Libraries

•

Taking Charge and Possession of any and all Beings and Entities who are marked as Rogues, and dealing with them accordingly

•

Holding Responsibility for the Doors of the Libraries, and their continued upkeep in order to ensure the safe travels of the Wanderers

Outside of these duties, Muse is given the freedom of the entirety of the Libraries. Her privilege gives her full and utter access to every single piece of Knowledge written within the Libraries, holding to the exceptions of those given over to the Librarian herself, or those that are marked with the Whispers of the Void.

I was the last Being to enter into Existence for the Libraries, and I am still currently the youngest and most recent addition to the Halls of Knowledge, excluding the multitudes of Knowledge that pours into the Libraries on a daily basis. I don't really remember the life or Existence that I left behind; The Librarian says that we were called and favored to live among the Authors and the Whispers of the Void, but something feels so rigid about that thinking.

But I do remember the Whispers; they were the ones who brought me to the Libraries, even if it seems like it was from the Void itself that I remember emerging from.

But as far as I know, only me and the Librarian hold residence within the Libraries, and no doors have ever given themselves over to us that led to the Storyverse or the Worlds outside the Halls of Ebliscacia.

I wonder what it is like, out there?
