Overview

The United States of Mexico [los Estados Unidos de Mexico] is a country located in Central Columbia. Originally founded by the conquistador Hernán Cortés as the colony of New Iberia, it would declare independence from the Kingdom of Iberia in 1810 when Miguel Hidalgo, a Catholic priest, gave the Cry of Dolores and began the Mexican War for Independence. The USM is the second most populous country in Southern Columbia, secondary only to Grand Columbia. Its territory stretches north to the southern borders of Cascadia and Centralia and south to the Panama Canal, which marks its border with Grand Columbia. The USM’s capital is Ciudad-Tenochtitlán, and its current prime minister is Ernesto Chavez.
