The Qualen Veil

The Veil is a mysterious portal used by the qualen to access Mythren from their home world. Considered their most guarded secret, the Veil has been hidden away from all other races, save for the vastrals whom they entrusted for a time to protect it when the Veil was relocated to the Temple of Vastos. It has remained in this location for thousands of years, enduring the ages and all of the conflicts therein. It is believed by arcane scholars to be more than a mere gateway, however. Some are convinced that the portal itself is a chamber of magic unlike any other and the reason it is so well hidden is that any mortal who were to cross the threshold would somehow be able to achieve a type of power and immortality previously held only by the qualen.
