Called the Mother Darkness and the Father of Light in ancient mythology. Dargrys, the Mother, lit the curve of the moon with magic while Ulyiss, the Father, sparked ingenuity with the light of the sun. For time uncounted they guided the mortal races of Mythren until at last belief turns to legend, and legend fades to myth. As the mortals of Mythren find their own footing, the powers of the Mother and Father fade and soon they begin to diminish. Certain that their “children” will once again look for guidance, the Mother and Father break the magical wards upon all portals and gateways that offer passage into Mythren, then light a beacon for immortals to follow. Just before their deaths, they enchant a tome called the Chaos Sun and Laughing Moon with the last of their magic, leaving it behind for future days.
