A race of angelic immortals who entered the world of Mythren early in the Age of Dominion through a heavily guarded and secretive portal they call the Veil. In their natural form, the qualen are exceedingly beautiful creatures with black or white wings. They are capable of altering their appearance, however, and take on a humanoid form that is no less exotic to behold. They have powerful magic at their fingertips and are also able to slow time in limited quantities. Mortals often mistake the qualen as “divine” entities, similar to how they view the Ilvastu and the Ilianti. In truth, they are simply an ageless race that come from a distant world and whose unique magic sets them apart from the denizens of Mythren.
