Moon Pool

A small body of water located in a secret valley and once a sacred source of magic for the First Gods and their faithful. It was said that the Moon Pool gathered the light of the Laughing Moon and would grant special powers of divination. Through these waters other worlds could be observed as well as other times. Dimensional portals, called frays, were located near the Moon Pool and once long ago when the First Gods held sway, powerful entities from other worlds would meet here in council. Upon their deaths, the First Gods used the location to channel their power one final time into an enchanted totem that was later recovered from the Moon Pool by the Ilvastu, Jezaphar. In the year 2299 AD, the Moon Pool was destroyed in a magical explosion and all of the collected magic was absorbed by an awakening all-powerful Oracle that appeared within the chasm left behind.
