The Commonwealth of Humanity

Formed in 2007 during the collapse of the Peoples Republic of China, The Commonwealth of Humanity sought to unify humanity not under a banner, but under an oath, that all of humanity was made equally, and that to move forward, we move together.
Under their leadership, the brought prosperity to the war-torn regions of South America, the Middle East, and other smaller areas where many lived in fear for their future. They researched new technologies to create a better quality of life for every citizen on Earth. They were great strides to begin interplanetary colonization on the moon and mars; supplies had been sent in preparation for manned missions, until the day aliens showed up on the doorstep as refugees.

Structure

The world nations still maintain their sovereignty, but have elected representatives who participate in a global high council who make decisions for the betterment of all humanity.

Natural resources are gathered in multiple stations around the globe, but all go to support the improvement of life on Earth.

History

During the collapse of the Peoples Republic of China, 1/3 of the population had been thrown into anarchy, many deaths occurred and the global stock market crashed. The Commonwealth of Humanity rose as an idea during this time, a way to stop anymore damage to modern nations, and find common ground for all of humankind.
The idea was voted on, and was a unanimous vote to enact it. Within 1 full year, the global economy had almost fully recovered, nations rebuilt, and recovered. The main idea now was how far can humanity go, together.

With improvments made in STEM, humanity's understanding of the universe increased ten fold, and allowed the creation of a worldwide Super Computer, capable of personality and attitude. With developments in nuclear fusion, and space travel only a few years away.

All major religions of the world still exist, and all have the freedom to believe in what they wish.

All nations maintain healthy relations with eachother. However, the arrival of the aliens on earth has tossed humanity into an unknown situation, and its hard to understand how it will affect the commonwealth altogether.

With all natural resources under the control of the high council, all efforts are made to use it wisely and appropriately.

Trade between continents after the establishment of the The Commonwealth of Humanity increased trade worldwide and allowed many nations to thrive.

Education is made a top priority in schools worldwide, focusing on not just STEM subjects, but the trades aswell. Many students are urged to master their favorite subject, and be effcicient a atleast one skilled trade.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure increased in areas where there was none. The middle east, after reconstruction, became a very prosperous nation. It became easier to travel across south america, china, oceania, and many other isolated areas.
