Calamity Ganon is defeated

Era beginning/end

Link was victorious in his battle against Calamity Ganon and managed to rescue Princess Zelda.

Link confronted Calamity Ganon in the sanctum of the dilapidated Hyrule Castle under Princess Zelda's instructions. His foe was incredibly large and imposing, but Link was assured by the spirits of the Champions that he would be able to take the creature on. However, when the Champions fired their Divine Beasts upon Ganon, he remained standing, and Link was so disillusioned by this that he started screaming about how nothing mattered and removed his clothing (he was pretty wasted at the time). Such a display from the Hero emotionally disturbed Calamity Ganon to the point of arrest, and Link as able to deal the final blow.
