Roar Magick

The type of magick which came to be known as Roar magick, has often been favored by outgoing, sociable people such as soldiers, mercenaries, bards and so on. The big draw for this magickal type, is the sheer amount of incredible power you can (potentially) learn and wield. Need a mountain leveled? Done! Need someone to distract a dragon while you're sneaking in to pinch something from their hoard? No problem! However, it's popularity belies it's darker workings as well as it's weaknesses.   Roar Magus' can lose focus as they become more intoxicated, thus making their magick potentially more destructive and lethal. (think a living, breathing wildfire: the more it consumes, the harder it is to control)   While spells cast from a Diviner of Whisper will start out weaker and need to build up to become a stronger spell, they have a much longer amount of time to work with. It's quite the opposite when it comes to Roar magick: they begin strong and full of power, the longer the spell is in place however, the more quickly it begins to fade and weaken, thus giving them a much more limited time for casting. In a nutshell, Roar is great if you're looking to finish a fight or make an impression as quickly as possible. Whisper would be great for throwing off a bandits timing in his sword swing or temporarily blinding a guard looking for you. Roar however, would be great for fending off a gaggle of bandits in one or two fell swoops or moving a large amount of water from a nearby lake onto a raging fire.
