He is an exile, unwelcome in both civilized society and the savage tribes of his parentage. Born after an orc raid, he was abandoned at a nearby temple and raised by the acolytes within. Despite the peaceful nature of their worship, his innate anger led him to present his worship of Ilmater in a more martial fashion.
Fury and resentment lie always just below the surface of his gleaming armour. For each wrong done to him, he has sworn vengeance against those who would bring misery to the helpless.
He is used to travelling on his own, meting out punishment on his terms wherever you find injustice. But he has now discovered others much like himself, wanderers who fight monsters and defeat evildoers. True, they seem to be in it mostly for the money, but he has found the opportunity to save many while with these companions.
Garabur is a fiercely loyal but aggressive defender of justice for those who are exploited or can't defend himself. He is torn between his devotion to his God Illmatyr and his new found love of the hunt driven by Malar.
